Day of the Dead

“The Hispanic Heritage club celebrated El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) on November 2nd to share the traditions of the Latino culture. We do an altar where we honor those who have deceased. It is a very colorful and beautiful projection on how we celebrate it. Also, we sold churros and horchata and we did Catrina face painting. Many students enjoyed and were able to explore the Hispanic culture through the alar. As they walked by, their first reaction was to compare the event to the movie ‘Coco’.” – Luz Trejo Camarillo
