“I think one of my first thoughts was to see Trump’s reaction. So obviously, I took to Twitter, only to discover one of the most full circle things from this election – aside from the new presidential-elect – Trump tweeting. ‘I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT!’ Feels so satisfying.”-Ammara Qureshi

“Although I’m aware that not all of Harris’s views align with mine (about israel mostly) I’m proud to see that a person of color and woman is our Vice President. She’s definitely a role model for many young girls.”- Shawana Choudury

“Never would I have predicted my first time voting would be during a pandemic and monumental moment in history. As a future educator, it’s really assuring to have one of my own- Jill Biden- in the whitehouse, working alongside Joe Biden. Furthermore, I’m really excited for Kamala Harris who is a huge inspiration and brings experiences as a woman of color. Both Biden and Harris champion hope, unity and equal opportunity which makes me feel optimistic and hopeful for the future.” –Rachel Lee

“I am relieved that Biden won, but to say i’m happy would be a fabulous lie. The fact that these were the top two candidates our nation put forth, the very best that we could do, is rather disheartening to say the least.”  –Matthew Muldoon

“I think that whoever is elected, we all just want equality and fast.“- Carmen Zaya

“I spoke to a friend about it from Nigeria aNd he said both men are not good, but definitely Joe is better than Trump.” –Kaosara Ibrahim

“It felt like as a person of color and as a woman, I can finally relax. It felt like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders, and for the first time in four years, I can finally breathe. For the first time in a long time, the American flag wasn’t a symbol of hate, but peace. However, there is still work to be done and the fight isn’t over yet.” –Julianne Eguia

“While I felt optimistic that Joe Biden would end up winning this election, it was disappointing to see how close the margins were considering all the atrocities that were committed these last four years” –Abdullah Obaidi

“I’m so happy!!! I’m currently in tears of joy” – Josselyn Cruz
